กองบังคับการตำรวจจราจร กองบัญชาการตำรวจนครบาล ริเริ่มโครงการนี้เพื่อยกระดับการบังคับใช้กฎหมายและแก้ไขปัญหาจราจรในกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาระบบตรวจจับการฝ่าฝืนสัญญาณไฟจราจรสีแดงที่มีอยู่เดิมให้มีประสิทธิภาพสูงขึ้น โครงการนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ปรับปรุงระบบเดิม แต่ยังขยายขอบเขตการทำงานเพื่อสนับสนุนภารกิจการปราบปรามอาชญากรรมของสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ โดยเฉพาะการโจรกรรมยานพาหนะ
ขอบเขตงานหลักประกอบด้วย การสำรวจและวิเคราะห์จุดติดตั้งระบบเดิม การปรับปรุงซ่อมแซมอุปกรณ์ฮาร์ดแวร์และซอฟต์แวร์ การย้ายจุดติดตั้งบางจุดไปยังตำแหน่งที่เหมาะสมกว่า การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพระบบการจับภาพและประมวลผลข้อมูลทะเบียนรถ การพัฒนาระบบเชื่อมโยงและบูรณาการกับฐานข้อมูลของหน่วยงานตำรวจเพื่อตรวจสอบประวัติอาชญากรรมของยานพาหนะ รวมถึงการจัดฝึกอบรมผู้ใช้งานและการให้บริการบำรุงรักษาระบบหลังการติดตั้ง การมอบหมายงานนี้คาดว่าจะช่วยลดอุบัติเหตุจากการฝ่าฝืนกฎจราจรและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันปราบปรามอาชญากรรมได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
The Traffic Police Division, Metropolitan Police Bureau, initiates this project to enhance law enforcement and address traffic issues in Bangkok. It focuses on upgrading the existing red-light violation detection system to be more efficient. The project not only improves the current system but also expands its functionality to support the Royal Thai Police’s crime suppression missions, particularly vehicle theft.
The main scope of work includes surveying and analyzing existing installation points, repairing and upgrading hardware and software, relocating some units to more suitable locations, enhancing the license plate capture and processing system, developing integration with police databases to check vehicle criminal history, as well as providing user training and post-installation maintenance services. This assignment is expected to tangibly reduce accidents caused by traffic violations and increase efficiency in crime prevention and suppression.
