โครงการนี้เป็นความร่วมมือของจังหวัดนครพนมเพื่อจัดทำฐานข้อมูลองค์ความรู้ด้านศาสนา ศิลปะ และวัฒนธรรมของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ 9 ชนเผ่า 2 เชื้อชาติในพื้นที่ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลัก 4 ประการ ได้แก่ การสร้างฐานข้อมูลทางวัฒนธรรม การส่งเสริมการนำทุนทางวัฒนธรรมมาสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มทางเศรษฐกิจ การพัฒนาศักยภาพการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมให้เป็นกระแสหลัก และการสืบสานขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีท้องถิ่น โครงการนี้สอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ของจังหวัดที่ต้องการพัฒนาให้เป็น “เมืองน่าอยู่ ประตูเศรษฐกิจสู่อนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง”

This project aims to establish a comprehensive database of religious, artistic, and cultural knowledge of ethnic groups in Nakhon Phanom province. The initiative focuses on four main objectives: creating cultural knowledge databases, promoting economic value from cultural assets, developing cultural tourism capacity, and preserving local traditions. The project aligns with the province’s vision to become a “livable city and economic gateway to the Mekong Subregion”.
