โครงการศูนย์ข้อมูลการตรวจลงตราของไทย (Visa Data Center - VDC) ระยะที่ 2 มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อพัฒนาระบบตรวจลงตราอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (e-Visa) ให้มีความทันสมัยและมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อรองรับการขยายการให้บริการไปยังสถานทูตและสถานกงสุลทั่วโลก ระบบใหม่นี้จะช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้ยื่นคำร้องขอวีซ่า ลดระยะเวลาในการดำเนินการ และเพิ่มความโปร่งใสในการตรวจสอบข้อมูล โดยจะมีการพัฒนาระบบคลาวด์ e-Visa ระยะที่ 2 รวมถึงระบบ Mail Marketing, ระบบความมั่นคงและความปลอดภัย, ระบบรักษาความปลอดภัยสำหรับเครื่อง Client, ระบบสื่อสารเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลกับหน่วยงานอื่น, ระบบ Web Enquiry และระบบ Payment นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการจัดฝึกอบรม จัดทำสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ และดูแลระบบสารสนเทศและ Software ที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมด เพื่อสนับสนุนภารกิจของกรมการกงสุลในการให้บริการ e-Visa ที่มีประสิทธิภาพและตอบสนองต่อความต้องการที่เพิ่มขึ้น

The Visa Data Center (VDC) Phase 2 project aims to develop a modern, comprehensive, and efficient e-Visa system using advanced IT. This will support the expansion of e-Visa services to embassies and consulates worldwide, facilitating visa applications, reducing processing times, and increasing transparency. The project includes developing the e-Visa Cloud System Phase 2, Mail Marketing System, Security System, Client Security System, Data Communication System, Web Enquiry System, and Payment System. It also involves training, producing promotional materials, and maintaining related IT systems and software to support the Department of Consular Affairs in providing efficient e-Visa services.
