โครงการจัดงานวันสุนทรภู่ กวีโลก จังหวัดระยอง ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๘ มีเป้าหมายเพื่อรำลึกถึง เชิดชูเกียรติ และเผยแพร่เกียรติคุณของสุนทรภู่ กวีเอกของโลก รวมถึงส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสร้างสรรค์และวัฒนธรรมของจังหวัดระยอง ตลอดจนส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของท้องถิ่น สร้างความตระหนักให้เด็ก เยาวชน และประชาชนเห็นถึงคุณค่าของภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นและวัฒนธรรมไทย โดยจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์สุนทรภู่ ตำบลกร่ำ อำเภอแกลง จังหวัดระยอง กิจกรรมเหล่านี้จะช่วยส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนและเยาวชนได้เห็นถึงความสำคัญและผลงานวรรณกรรมของสุนทรภู่ ตลอดจนการสืบสาน สร้างสรรค์ และสร้างคุณค่างานด้านวรรณกรรมให้คงอยู่ เป็นการส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของท้องถิ่นและของประเทศชาติ รวมถึงการส่งเสริมแหล่งท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดระยองเพื่อสร้างรายได้ให้กับชุมชนและเชื่อมโยงความสามัคคีของคนในสังคม

The project “Sunthorn Phu, World Poet Day, Rayong Province, Fiscal Year 2025” aims to commemorate and honor Sunthorn Phu, a world-renowned poet, promote creative and cultural tourism in Rayong Province, and promote local culture, raising awareness among children, youth, and the public about the value of local wisdom and Thai culture. Various activities will be held at the Sunthorn Phu Monument, Kram Sub-district, Klaeng District, Rayong Province. These activities will promote public and youth awareness of the importance and literary works of Sunthorn Phu, as well as the preservation, creation, and enhancement of the value of literary works. It promotes the good culture of the locality and the nation, including the promotion of tourist attractions in Rayong Province to generate income for the community and link the unity of people in society.
