โครงการปรับปรุงระบบเครือข่ายหลัก (Backbone) ของกรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและความเร็วของระบบเครือข่ายให้รองรับความเร็วไม่น้อยกว่า 10G โดยครอบคลุมการจัดหาและติดตั้งอุปกรณ์เครือข่าย Backbone Distribution Switch, Top Rack Switch, และ PoE Access Switch รวมถึงตู้ Rack สำหรับจัดเก็บอุปกรณ์, การติดตั้งสายสัญญาณ Fiber Optic, และการรื้อถอนและย้ายอุปกรณ์เดิม โครงการนี้ยังรวมถึงการจัดฝึกอบรมให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ของกรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการเกี่ยวกับการดูแลและจัดการอุปกรณ์เครือข่าย ผู้เสนอราคาจะต้องจัดหาอุปกรณ์ที่สามารถทำงานร่วมกับอุปกรณ์ Cisco Catalyst รุ่น C9300X-24Y-E ที่กรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการมีอยู่เดิมได้ และอุปกรณ์ทั้งหมดต้องได้รับการรับประกันอย่างน้อย 5 ปี นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการติดตั้งสาย Fiber Optic แบบ Multi-mode ระหว่างห้องควบคุมระบบเครือข่ายไปยัง Distribution Rack บริเวณชั้น 1-3 ของอาคารหอสมุดฯ และการทดสอบค่าคุณสมบัติของสาย

This project, “Upgrading the Backbone Network to Support Speeds of at Least 10G,” aims to enhance the network infrastructure of the Department of Science Service in Thung Phaya Thai Subdistrict, Ratchathewi District, Bangkok. The project involves procuring and installing network equipment, including Backbone Distribution Switches, Top Rack Switches, and PoE Access Switches, along with Rack cabinets. It also includes installing fiber optic cables, removing and relocating existing equipment. The project encompasses training for Department of Science Service personnel on network equipment maintenance and management. Bidders must supply equipment compatible with the existing Cisco Catalyst C9300X-24Y-E. All supplied equipment must have a minimum 5-year warranty. Fiber Optic Multi-Mode cable installation between the control room and distribution racks on floor 1-3 of library building and cable test is also included in project scope.
